A good quality program in a short amount of time

Though they are already invloving themselves with the program development process I think I would like them to challenge themselves to participate in upstream process such as system design and apply lumpsum contract in the development.

My other impression about JPI is that when I worked with them for the first time, each programmer has been trained well in their specialized fields. Good quality work was done even though delivery dates were tight. I saw unique, bright very kind engineers in JPI, it is always a pleasure working with them.

Any projects are completed in these four years since we started dealing with JPI. We have asked for the development of the business system such as the control of process/manhour, control of sales, and the HR administration.

These systems are specialized for definite business. Therefore, apart from design and coding, the understanding of business rules and logic seemed to be hard for JPI.

Our company worked in China around 1998, we were doing good in China but suddenly we have to evade the risk of sudden surge of labor cost in China. So we thought about transferring to another country. Philippines was a prospective area where we have proceeded our civil design in advance software.

JGC Information Systems Inc. (J-SYS) introduced to us JPI when we were also looking for someone else who can cooperate with our software development. The possibility of doing everything in Japanese was preferred because development process in an English environment can be very tough and costly.

We heard the local staff have been specially trained to study Japanese language. At first, we launched only a test project with JPI. Gradually, we noticed the advance Nihongo ability of the staff. Since then, we launched with a full scale project in March 2003.

JPI's scope of work is mainly detailed design, programming and test.

They can propose to design a detailed specification. They can also examine develop according to an outlined specifications, and everything is done in Japanese.

We are very satisfied with the accuracy and promptness of communication. It is a good thing that leaders and bridge engineers won't have to play the translator role. "Everything can be done in Japanese" is one of our mandates, that is, all staffs can conduct work under Japanese environment.

Moreover, our company is not planning to transfer our offshore software development to India because we don't like to be involved in the complexity of contract and hard negotiation with Indian companies. JPI can realize the process similar to a Japanese enterprise with ease in working relationships.

Cost reduction has been considerably achieved. Jpi can deliver large work output in a short timeline. I think intensive development can realize cost reduction and short delivery.

In our company, the IT department's worker's age is considerably high. JPI has younger skilled engineers. I hope they also revitalize Japanese society by the way JPI did to our company.

Because Mr. Hamada, JPI's company president is an old friend of mine, we changed the offshore development of the opne system to JPI.

For programming and test phase

They have a zeal for studying, and learning new information.

JGC Information Systems Co. (J-SYS) entrusted JPI with the version-up project of screens and reports which were developed under Oracle Developer Environment. JPI is a systems integrator with high technological skills. Almost all JPI engineers can understand Japanese language. JPI conducted conversion work of several hundred programs upon J-SYS’s requirements. JPI completed the work earlier that schedule with high output quality. J-SYS enjoyed much advantage of cost reduction and intended to proceed with much more cooperation with JPI.

J-SYS started large scale project in which we conduct version-up of the client’s corporate system (engineering company) in March 2006. Project duration was 1 year and 3 months. The project goes along with Oracle EBS version-up. J-SYS needed the system integrator who have much knowledge in Oracle Developer. The company chosen J-SYS Philippines, Inc. (JPI) which is a subsidiary of J-SYS.JPI has 65 SE/Programmers who have much experience in Oracle Developer-related Project. MH cost is half of that of Japan.

Much appreciation on aggressive attitude. At first the project manager of JPI came to Japan and estimated the scope of work. Second application engineers of J-SYS went to Philippines, and explained sample applications to JPI’s engineers. JPI’s engineers conducted the simulation of work. The conversion work was completed in 12 weeks by 8 engineers. Qualtiy of work was higher than that of J-SYS’s requirements. In this project apart from conversion work, J-SYS demanded many requirements, for example a separate area for PC’s from the viewpoint of security, JPI accepted these requirements willingly.
